What Hi-Fi Sound and Vision Review the CYP AU-D3 DAC

“This knick-knack DAC is well worth a crack” ... says What Hi-Fi Sound and Vision Magazine.

Is there really a similarity between the AU-D3 Digital to Analogue Converter (DAC) and Mr Scaramanga’s infamous sidekick?

To have a product associated with a James Bond character is not what we would usually expect to hear, but when What Hi-Fi Sound & Vision reviewed our AU-D3 Digital to Analogue Audio Converter (DAC), that was their opening gambit.

"Products don’t get much smaller or straightforward then this CYP DAC. Simply feed an optical or coaxial signal into the tiny box and an analogue signal emerges from the stereo RCA connections”.

Having summed the product up with “this is a neat and affordable way to coax out far more punch , detail and dynamics”, we couldn’t have put it any better ourselves.

What Hi-Fi Sound & Vision gave the AU-D3 a 4-Star award in an issue where they have focussed on DAC’s ranging from £225 to £2200. Not a bad rating considering the AU-D3 retails at just over £40!
